The sale catalogue of the extensive Debruge-Duménil collection of sculpture, enamels, goldsmiths’ work, jewellery, glass, ceramics, furniture and so on, described in the cataloguer’s preface as one of the finest and most complete of its kind and certainly wide ranging, for the 2061 lots in the sale included objects as diverse as fifteenth century illuminated manuscripts and Japanese lacquer.
