A pleasing book on the churches of the Snowdonia district of North Wales, written by two scholarly local architects and handsomely printed with woodcut illustrations from their sketches. H.Harold Hughes was the local Diocesan Surveyor, and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, and he and his fellow author write from considerable personal knowledge of every building mentioned, including Bangor Cathedral and the former Cistercian abbey of Aber Conwy.
