An essay on the celebrated Austrian architect and designer Josef Hoffmann by Hoffmann's pupil Rochowanski, published to celebrate Hoffmann's eightieth birthday. The drawings by Hoffmann which illustrate it are chiefly of plant forms, echoing in concept, although not in execution, those done in old age by Louis Sullivan.
