8vo. xxiii + (1) + 149 + (1)pp, 10 engraved plates including folding frontispiece. Contemporary full mottled calf, gilt spine. Frontispiece slightly browned and a little spotting elsewhere.

The true first edition of this useful compilation bringing together the views of four scholars on the origins and development of Gothic architecture in England.
