8vo. xiv + 501 + (1)pp, 300 woodcut text ills, 32pp publisher’s adverts. Publisher’s blind-stamped cloth, rebacked. Ink presentation inscription to A.Douglas, "in remembrance of his friend the Rev.James White M.A.", October 1906 (?). Also bookplate and ink ownership inscription of Frank Broomhead, 7 September 1974.

Tenth edition, with two lengthy added chapters on the internal arrangement of churches not found in the ninth edition of 1849. Bloxam notes in his preface that although previous editions had been printed for him by Thomas Combe, successively at Leicester and at the Oxford University Press, the present edition "has been printed at Rugby, by Mr.Billington, bookseller to Rugby School".
