Third edition of this substantial book on Suffolk’s very numerous mediaeval parish churches, first published in 1937. The author, Henry Munro Cautley (1875-1959), was Diocesan Surveyor for St.Edmundsbury and Ipswich between 1914 and 1947, and no one among his contemporaries can have known more about these churches.
