Publisher’s blue paper printed slip tipped in, stating that this was an “advance copy”, and that the book would be published 16 November 1927 at a price of 85 shillings.
First edition of this influential book by Hussey, the first to remind twentieth century readers of the theories of the picturesque which dominated English garden design between the 1740s and the 1830s.
