Jeux d’esprit on the world of book collecting at the end of the second decade of the nineteenth century, printed in a small number of copies for William Beckford’s preferred bookseller William Clarke, and most probably written by Beckford himself. Claude Cox deserves much praise for reprinting them, although explanations would have been welcome of what are today deeply obscure references to booksellers and book collectors of that period. Millington p. 343.
