A memorial volume for the Aberdeen architect William Kelly (1861-1944), who designed Gothic churches and neo-classical office buildings, and is described in the preface as “the last of [Scotland’s] heroic race of great scholar-architects”. Kelly was an honorary graduate of the University and carried out the restoration of its King’s College Chapel as well as other work for that institution. He also lectured there, and five of his lectures are printed, followed by photo illustrations of some of his work.
