A reissue of Britton’s volume on the splendid fourteenth century Gothic church of St.Mary Redcliffe, Bristol, first published in 1813 and incorporating a series of perspective views of the church’s exterior and interior from drawings by Charles Wild and others. The last chapter is concerned with the poet Thomas Chatterton, who had a close association with the church. BAL Cat 419 (1813 edition).
