Full Description

4to. lxvi + 287 + (1)pp, 82 photo plates. Publisher’s cloth, in dustwrapper.

The second of three volumes published for the Royal Commission as a record of all significant pre-1800 buildings and monuments in the county of Caernarvonshire in North Wales. The value of the present volume is that it includes the town of Caernarvon itself, with the largest and most architecturally distinguished of all Welsh castles (Caernarvon is listed, logically but amusingly, under the parish of Llanbeblig).
