A scarce publication illustrating the work of an architectural partnership at Stockton, California, “the gateway city of the San Joaquin valley”. They refer in a preface to “thirty years of successful practice”, and it is apparent that Glenn Allen, the senior partner, had personally designed many of Stockton’s principal public buildings and hotels, while his colleague specialised in schools. They seem also to have done a good deal of work in small towns in Texas, particularly Waco.
