Full Description

Pen, ink, and coloured and gold wash drawing, measuring approximately 250 x 125mm.

An interesting Victorian drawing of blades of wheat entwined with a ribbon bearing the message “This is the bread which came down from heaven”, within an ornamental Gothic architectural surround, and with an ornamental lower border; whilst the drawing is stylistically Puginesque, the evangelical message is much less so.
