English-language catalogue of the fine collection of Italian Old Master paintings, and of paintings by nineteenth century Italian artists, housed in the Palazzo Brera in Milan. The collection was initially put together from works of art confiscated from monasteries during the Napoleonic period and has been built up by subsequent bequests and purchases.
