8vo. vi+(2)+396pp, engr frontis, woodcut text ills (of which 1 folding), 3 folding maps, 1 engr plate. Publisher’s cloth, rebacked with original spine laid down, original printed paper spine label, chipped. Some spotting, especially on frontis. Last map torn at base. Two 19th century ink ownership inscriptions, of John Brydon Gardener (?), and John Ramsay.

Seventh edition of this guide to ancient and modern Bristol. This 1846 version has an engraved frontispiece and engraved plate not present in earlier editions, as well as more text illustrations and an extra map.
