Splendid visual presentation of city planning schemes of the inter-war period both in the United States and in Western Europe. Although it was the third in a series of three intended volumes under this title by Werner Hegemann (1881-1936), all published after he had left Germany in 1933 to live in the United States (his political views had become unacceptable to the National Socialist regime), it has a self-contained content and is the only one of the three volumes to have been issued in this very impressive large folio format. It was edited by two American colleagues from material collected by Hegemann before his death.
