Pencil ownership inscription of Philip Powell (Sir Philip Powell, 1921-2003, head of the Powell and Moya architectural practice) on front endpaper.
This describes and illustrates notable recent buildings by twenty selected prominent architects or architectural partnerships of the time, including Aalto, Buckminster Fuller, Gropius, Le Corbusier, Mendelsohn, Mies, Neutra, Oud, Powell & Moya (the present copy belonged to Philip Powell), Saarinen and Yorke Rosenberg Mardall. The author adds helpful biographical notes and lists of their executed buildings. The volume also includes a preface by Ludwig Hilberseimer.
