Scholarly edition of a previously unpublished illustrated manuscript prepared in the 1820s and 1830s by Daniel Grose as an intended supplementary volume to his uncle Francis Grose’s Antiquities of Ireland, published 1791-5. It includes excellent colour reproductions of eighty-nine watercolour drawings by the younger Grose, as well as passages of editorial explanatory text.
