Illustrated publication on the former abbey church of St.Gall in Switzerland (now St.Gall cathedral), issued to mark the completion of a restoration programme undertaken in 1961-7. The present church was built to designs by Peter Thumb in the middle of the eighteenth century, with notable painted ceilings and interior woodwork of that date.
