Ownership inscription and bookplate of Fred Roe (bookplate is Roe’s own design). Subsequently Jill Allibone’s copy, with her bookplate.

Second edition of this substantial Batsford publication of the early twentieth century, first published in 1917, combining a well-organised text by the scholarly architect F.E. Howard with good photo illustrations supplied from Mr Crossley’s own extensive photographic archive.
