Full Description
Oblong 4to. xii + 290pp, 143 ills. Publisher’s cloth, in dustwrapper. Gavin Stamp’s copy, with his booklabel. An inserted typed letter, signed, to Stamp from the author, 15 September 2000, thanking Stamp for his review of the book in The Spectator.
An excellent study of the life and artistic output of the distinguished British etcher Frederick Landseer Griggs (1876-1938), probably the ablest artistic interpreter of architectural subjects in the first four decades of the twentieth century. We offer it at a modest price because of past adhesion affecting the volume’s portrait frontispiece and title leaf, with loss of a small circular area of surface from the frontispiece.
