Although issued by the Ascot firm in connection with their business in gas-fired water boilers, this is probably the best general survey of English flat design at this date, with many excellent photographs and ground plans. The volume includes introductory essays by De Soissons, Howard Robertson, Yerbury, Wells Coates and Maxwell Fry, and its coverage of recently built local authority housing in London is particularly good.
