Frank Lloyd Wright.
(Paris), Editions Albert Morancé 1930 (or later).
4to. (4) + pp 49-(51), 31-(32), with (24) intervening pp carrying line illustrations of elevations, sections, and ground plans), and (25) photo plates numbered 1-25. Publisher’s printed board portfolio, with ties, neatly rebacked.
A hybrid between the Frank Lloyd Wright issue of L’Architecture Vivante, issued in the summer of 1930, and its subsequent reissue as a separate monograph under the title Frank Lloyd Wright Architecte Américain. We presume it to have been made up, whether by the Morancé firm or not, from the sheets used for the reissue, with the addition of the first four numbered text pages from the original periodical issue, and because it does not contain either of the two possible title leaves it would not appear to be bibliographically complete. We nonetheless offer it here, for it does contain the entirety both of the introductory text pages and of the line illustrations and photo plates, as well as the printed list of illustrations, here numbered 31-(32), in the form in which it was to appear in the monograph publication, and it is thus for practical purposes almost as good as if it were complete. The copy is contained in the publisher’s original printed board portfolio.
