In the early 1940s the University of Liverpool was giving a temporary home to a Polish School of Architecture, and the present publication was issued to draw attention to the merits of Polish architecture, old and new. The illustrations of buildings of the late 1930s in Warsaw show how local architects had adopted the style of the international modern movement.
