A thorough and well-illustrated account of London’s Underground Railway system and of its operations and management. The author, J.P.Thomas, was Operating Manager of London Underground, but it may be deduced that the book was the brainchild of Frank Pick, London Underground’s Managing Director, who contributes a foreword of his own.
