8vo. (4) (ex vi, no half title leaf) + 338 + 127 + (1)pp. Contemporary quarter calf, cloth sides (joints towards foot of spine slightly splitting). Old stain affecting a central area of pp 53-8 of first work, and a lighter old stain slightly affecting upper right hand corner of pp 185-298 of same title. A little light spotting elsewhere. Late nineteenth century book label of Mrs Stanley Leighton.
A volume in Baudry’s European Library bringing together Beckford’s Italy, with Sketches of Spain and Portugal, then very recently published in London, with a text of Vathek, following that used for the 1823 London edition. Millington p.258 and p.310.
