Thick 4to. 2 vols in 1. 347+(1)pp, incl. photo text ills, some colour ; 382 +(2)pp, incl. numerous photo ills. Not unattractively bound in later library cloth, original printed wrappers bound in. Ex-library copy, bookplates, a few neat ink stamps, and handwritten ink and pencil classmarks. Subsequently Roderick Gradidge’s copy.
A substantial two-volume catalogue for a major exhibition of the Westphalian architect Joseph Conrad Schlaun, court architect to Clemens August von Wittelsbach and designer of a number of the impressive baroque buildings in Münster. The first volume comprises illustrated essays on Schlaun and his works, the second the illustrated and descriptive catalogue of ninety-four architectural projects.
