Heavy offsetting to facing leaves from frontispiece and from portrait of Hogarth (as often), slighter offsetting from other plates. Plate of Hogarth and following page also somewhat spotted and soiled, and lower blank outer corner of pp 103-4 missing or torn away, but a respectable copy nonetheless. Contemporary quarter red morocco, marbled boards. worn at outer corners. Nineteenth century armorial bookplate of William Gordon of Fyvie. Also pencil ownership inscription of “J.Copland, artist”.
