Second edition of the only extensive treatise by a British architect of the early twentieth century on the planning and internal arrangement of schools, full of useful detail and relevant illustrations and plans. Clay went on to become the official architect to the Board of Education, and his book, first published in 1902 and running to a third edition in 1929, was found essential by specialists in school architecture.
