National Trust for Jersey. Buildings in the town and parish of Saint Helier.
Folio. 84pp, 134 photo ills, maps. Original pictorial wrappers.
A descriptive inventory of the historic buildings in St.Helier, the capital of the island of Jersey, most of them of late eighteenth or nineteenth century date. The volume was compiled in 1976-7 by the Ulster-based solicitor and architectural historian C.E.B.Brett, “without financial reward and as a labour of love”, and is surprisingly uncommon in the book trade today.
