A very substantial volume, providing ten introductory essays and an illustrated catalogue of Cuypers’ executed works and projects. Cuypers is most famous as the architect of the Rijksmuseum and of the Central Station in Amsterdam, but was also responsible for many Roman Catholic churches in the Netherlands, designed by him in Gothic Revival style, and was involved in numerous projects for the restoration of existing historic buildings.
