Handsome volume issued to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of the State School of Applied Arts in Prague, describing its history and setting out the School’s aims and teaching structure. Pupils at the School included the architects Josef Gocar and Josip Plecnik, as well as many well-known decorative artists and sculptors, and there are useful short biographies of the School’s teaching staff in 1935, including the architects Pavel Janak and Otakar Novotny.
