Full Description

Large 8vo. Engraved portrait frontispiece, title leaf, xxxiii + (3) + 208 + (2)pp, 8 litho plates. Publisher’s cloth, with original calf spine. Frank Broomhead’s copy, with his bookplate. A large paper copy.

A collection of Bloxam’s published writings on Rugby School and its neighbourhood, chiefly of interest for the information they provide on the history of Rugby School itself, but the volume’s editor appends a useful biographical account of Bloxam himself, and the volume also provides a fair amount of incidental information about the school buildings and the architecture of churches and country houses in the immediate vicinity.
