The arrangement of the volumes is thematic, so the first volume covers prehistoric and Roman sites, churches and castles (including Stirling Castle), and the second volume domestic architecture (including Argyll’s Lodging and Mar’s Work in Stirling itself, and several country houses including William Adam’s Touch House).
