The best edition of what has remained the most complete and most extensively illustrated dictionary of English furniture up to 1830. When originally published in 1927, it was a collaborative undertaking by Macquoid and Edwards, with assistance from other identified contributors, but this 1954 edition was essentially the work of Edwards alone.
