The durability of reinforced concrete in buildings.
London, HMSO 1956 (National Building Studies Special Report no.25).
8vo. (4) + 27 + (5)pp, 12 photo plates, 4 text ills. Publisher’s printed wrappers (front cover stained and soiled). Faint old stain at upper margins of plates.
A report by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research’s Building Research Station, based on an earlier survey by S.B.Hamilton and A.G.Bray, both specialists in cement and concrete science. The condition of the pamphlet might be better, but it provides interesting information on, and illustrations of, early twentieth century buildings in reinforced concrete which by the 1950s needed or did not need restorative treatment.
