Royal Hibernian Academy
The exhibition of the Royal Hibernian Academy, MDCCCXLI. The fifteenth.
Dublin, Clarke (1841).
4to. xxvi pp. Recent wrappers. Title leaf slightly soiled. Shaved by a previous binder at right-hand outer margin, with loss of the first letters of the names of exhibitors on p.xxiv (but these can be deduced, for the names are in alphabetical order).
The Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin held annual exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and architectural drawings from the mid 1820s onwards. Its catalogues, modelled on those of the Royal Academy in London, are scarce in the book trade today.
