Conjectural reconstruction of the House of The Tragic Poet at Pompeii, discovered by excavation in 1824 and the partial remains of which, roofed since the 1930s, remain in existence today. The reconstruction takes account of the surviving structure, the remnants of the house’s ambitious mural decoration, and of objects found within the site. The present volume was published for private distribution by the author.
