First edition. An extensive selection of designs for English and European blocks of flats built or designed in modernist style between 1927 and 1937, chosen by the British architects F.R.S. Yorke (1906-1962) and Frederick Gibberd (1908-1984). The volume provides introductory essays, excellent photographic illustrations, plans and extensive notes, and includes examples by Breuer, Le Corbusier and Jeanneret, Hans Scharoun, J. Luis Sert and many others, as well as projects by the authors.
