The new world architecture.
London, Longmans Green & Co 1930.
4to. viii + (4) + 404pp, many photo ills. Publisher’s decorative cloth, worn and faded. Once in the stock of the Weinreb firm, with their acquisition date July 1971.
First edition. A substantial book offering an American perspective on the work of radical architects in the interwar period up to 1930, embracing European buildings in the international modern style and more eclectic modernist buildings in the USA by such architects as Frank Lloyd Wright, Ely Jacques Kahn, and Howe and Lescaze. The present copy is sound internally, but is in a slightly tired binding (and is priced accordingly).
