The author was an architect with offices in New York City and Bridgeport, Connecticut, and what is interesting about his book is that it is primarily aimed at those wanting to build motion picture houses, of which he notes there were already some 25,000 in the United States (he remarks that motion pictures “will continue till someone can invent something better for the same admission fee”).
